🛡️ What To Do In An Emergency
Follow these 5 important steps to stay safe and get help quickly.
1
Stay Calm
Take a deep breath. Panicking makes it harder to think clearly. You are smart and you can do this!
2
Move to Safety
If there is danger (fire, accident), move away from it immediately. Go to a safe place like a neighbour's house or a public place.
3
Call for Help
Call a trusted adult, or dial an emergency number (Police: 100, Ambulance: 108, Fire: 101). If you can't call, shout for help!
4
Give Your Name & Location Clearly
Say your full name, where you are (address, landmark, area), and what happened. Speak slowly and clearly.
5
Stay on the Line
Don't hang up until you're told to. The person on the phone will guide you. Follow their instructions carefully.
💡 Extra Tips
- Know your home address off by heart
- Always carry a written copy of emergency numbers
- Trust your instincts — if something feels wrong, it probably is
- Never go anywhere with a stranger, even if they offer to help
- A trusted adult: teacher, police officer, shopkeeper
